Michael Knight, Owner, San Luis Obispo Coastal Peaks Roasters

Southern California 1960's surfer-turned-entrepreneur, Mike launched an office coffee service 20 years ago. In 2006 he purchased a prominent micro-roasting coffee company in San Luis Obispo and joined the two businesses together as Coastal Peaks Roasters.

Mike's passion for producing and distributing extraordinary coffee is matched by his own love of great-tasting coffee. By managing a roastery, he is able to provide coffee with consistent quality to his wholesale accounts and to a growing retail market. He's also able to take advantage of changes in the green coffee bean market. Mike purchases some of the best traditional and fair trade organic beans in the world.

According to Mike, "Part of the fun of owning CPR is working with my roaster Phil Grant to create specific blends and Coffees of the Month for our customers. I love meeting new people and sharing a cup of coffee with them. If you're in our neighborhood, stop by the roastery and sample our coffee. I call it extraordinary, but many others call it the best coffee they ever tasted."

Mike and wife Joan enjoy an active lifestyle on the Central Coast, and are avid travelers to tropical spots!
